Big job. Light work. The Bambu Lab R1 brings the same motion control that made Bambu Lab printers precise to a 55W desktop CO2 laser — cutting up to 20 mm acrylic and 18 mm plywood in a single pass, at speeds to 1,000 mm/s.

• 55W CO2 laser: Cut and engrave wood, clear acrylic, leather, fabric, glass, slate and anodized aluminium — up to 20 mm thick in a single pass.
• Large work area: 600 × 300 mm, or up to 3 metres of long stock with the Conveyor.
• Auto Laser Alignment: Hands-free optical path calibration in about a minute. No thermal paper, no test shots.
• TriSense System: Cameras, lasers and XY encoders combined for positioning accuracy within 0.2 mm — follows curves, works on transparent materials, traces printed outlines.
• Vibration compensation: Cancels residual shake after a direction change, keeping lines crisp out of the turn.
• High-speed engraving: Up to 1,000 mm/s with 20,000 mm/s² acceleration — roughly 3× faster on the same job.
• Crossflow ventilation: Fresh air in one side, smoke out the other, clearing the chamber evenly instead of relying on a single exhaust fan.
• Class 1 laser safety: Fully enclosed beam in normal use, with lid-open stop, flame detection and emergency stop. No goggles or dedicated laser room needed.
• Compact: Same working area as a typical CO2 laser in about a third less space.

Configurations

• R1 — the machine, plus power cord, ventilation hose and fan, anti-freeze, funnel, Allen key, safety key, Laser Alignment Sensor, material pin, calibration board, lubricant, clear acrylic and basswood plywood samples.
• R1 Long Material Bundle — everything above, plus the Riser Base and Automatic Conveyor Feeder for stock up to 3 metres long.
• R1 Long Material & Rotary Bundle — everything above, plus the Rotary Attachment and bracket for full 360° engraving on bottles, bowls and cups.

Optional accessories (sold separately): medium and long focus lenses for deeper cuts, Vision Encoder, E1 Pro air purifier.

Safety note: when used with the Riser Base or Conveyor the enclosure is no longer complete and the R1 becomes a Class 4 device, requiring CO2 laser-safety eyewear and trained operators.
